How to cancel or reschedule class

When you want to book a new class or reschedule with a student, your request will first be sent to the student. Once they accept it in the app, the class will automatically be added to both of your calendars.

Likewise, when a student wants to book or reschedule with you, they’ll send a request for your approval. If there’s an available time on your calendar, the student will request that specific time. Otherwise, they’ll suggest a few possible times (in your time zone) for you to review and confirm what works best.

To manage these updates, you can easily review all inbound requests under the "Classroom" tab in the app. Be sure to check regularly so you don’t miss any opportunities!

Scheduling FAQ:

What is the difference between canceling and rescheduling a long-term class?

Rescheduling a long-term class and canceling a long-term class are 2 different operations. If you are conducting a reschedule, it means that you have already aligned with your students on a new time to have the class. If you have not yet confirmed a new time with the student, but are not able to have the class at the previously agreed upon time, then you are canceling the class. If you cancel a class, you will then need to book a new class with the student at a later date using the booking function in the student tab of your ClassUp for Teachers Application. Both cancelling and rescheduling classes last minute will result in deductions and will effect your SET score.
